History of Bayside Marketplace

Bayside Marketplace is a festival marketplace located on beautiful Biscayne Bay in the heart of Downtown Miami. Bayside Marketplace was built by The Rouse Company whose founder, James W. Rouse, was an early pioneer of shopping malls and festival marketplaces including The Jacksonville Landing, Boston's Faneuil Hall, and Baltimore's Harborplace. In 2004, the Rouse Company was bought by General Growth Properties, adding Bayside to the GGP family of centers. Since it's opening in 1987, Bayside Marketplace has been the premier destination for visitors in Miami welcoming over 12 million people every year.
